MORE ABOUT OUR SPEAKER
In August of 2021, amid the tumultuous and chaotic withdrawal of U.S. forces from Afghanistan a retired Army Beret received a desperate plea for help from a former comrade.
As the government in Kabul collapsed, an American-trained Afghan special forces commando suddenly found himself exposed and targeted by the ruthless and resurgent Taliban terrorists.
Although he had separated from the Armed Forces a decade earlier, Lt. Col. Scott Mann knew that he had to rapidly reengage to save the life of his brother-in-arms.
Calling upon his network of military veterans, including Green Berets, SEALs, and other "special operations," Mann organized one last mission, and from this effort emerged "Operation Pineapple Express" and the riveting rescue and relocation of over 1,000 Afghani allies.
