Description
The Government Relations committee will focus on health care topics, drawing from the expertise of two local healthcare professionals and longtime members of the committee:
- Linda Kalin will provide an overview of the Iowa Statewide Poison Control Center - what the organization does for Iowa residents and health care professionals, and how the organization is funded with a complex mix of state and federal resources.
- Mike Stiles of UnityPoint Health - St. Luke's will give a brief overview of issues related to Medicaid privatization in Iowa.
