Government Relations Committee meetings are free and open to all members of the Siouxland Chamber of Commerce.
Description
The first Government Relations Committee meeting for the 2017-18 cycle is almost upon us. To kick things off, Rep. Chris Hall, ranking minority member of the House Appropriations Committee, will provide us with an overview of the state budget. With a special legislative session possible, Rep. Hall will help us make sense of where we stand with the FY17 budget, the current FY18 budget, and how the Legislature might approach the FY19 budget during the next session.
We will also map out the next several committee meetings and plan the development of the Chamber's 2018 Legislative Agenda.
Finally, please welcome Lesley Bartholomew of Wells Enterprises as the new committee chair!
