Join us as we cut the ribbon to celebrate the Sioux City Community School District's new trade building.

The Sioux City Career Academy students now have more opportunities to gain construction trades experience before they leave high school. The opening of the new trades building provides a controlled environment for students to obtain hands-on skills in drywalling, roofing, plumbing, HVAC, and more. Students will build one house per year at the new trades building as part of the program.  
 
Construction trades is just one of 30 career pathways offered through the Sioux City Career Academy. The Career Academy is available to students throughout Siouxland, including Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota.
