Ribbon Cutting - Siouxland Foster Closet

Description

Join us in welcoming the Siouxland Foster Closet to the Siouxland Chamber and celebrate the launch of their new Comfort Care for Siouxland Children program in Woodbury County. The Siouxland Foster Closet is a volunteer-run organization. They aim to show God's love to children by providing clothing and other necessities to children and youth in foster care and out-of-home placement. 

The Comfort Care for Siouxland Children program works toward ending the practice of children moving between homes with their belongings in a trash bag, provides DHS with necessities and personal comfort items to provide to children in transition, and provides children with fully packed comfort bags when they first enter care. 

In addition to the ribbon cutting, they would love to request donations of water bottles, sippy cups, and baby bottles/nipples to help complete their comfort care cases. 

They will have an open house following the ribbon cutting until 4pm.
