PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assess staffing needs, post openings, and evaluate applicants
2. Interviewing/Assessments, log applicants, close positions
3. Perform background checks on applicants, schedule drug screening, and comply with government reporting needs on new hires.
4. Oversee new hire orientation
5. Ongoing training/Assessments
6. Administer benefits
- Health insurance: enrolling, COBRA, billing and renewals
- Life insurance: enrolling,
- 401k: enrolling, distributions, billing, quarterly reports
- PTO: crediting, recordkeeping, time system
- Sick time: crediting, recordkeeping, time system
- Flexible Spending Account: enrollment
7. Payroll duties
- Entry to Paychex, payroll reports
- Time and Attendance system
- Incentives: calculation, recordkeeping, input
- Deposit to employees’ accounts
8. Oversee HR obligations, including complaint reporting procedures, harassment policies, personnel files, and I-9 reporting.
9. Maintains employee documentation and designated as privacy officer, assists in
employee relations, and oversees employment-related compliance.
SECONDARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accounting
- Month end reconciliations.
Abilities, Characteristics, Knowledge and Skills, Required:
- College degree preferred
- High school graduate with some college or technical school is acceptable
- Experience in the area of Human Resources is preferred
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Service oriented attitude with staff and members
- Good numerical abilities and strong attention to detail
- Pleasant, enthusiastic personality
