IMKO is recruiting a full-time Quality Control Technician for a fast-paced industrial business. Quality Control Technician plays an essential role by supporting the daily operations of the Quality Control Laboratory. This position involves collecting and preparing asphalt samples, performing routine lab tests, recording and reporting results, and assisting with the calibration and maintenance of lab equipment. This role helps ensure that products meet established specifications while contributing to a safe, clean, and efficient lab environment. This position is a 1st shift M-F, 8 am – 5 pm, with overtime as needed. Quality Control Technician Responsibilities are, however, will not be limited to: Collect, prepare, and test asphalt samples in accordance with company and industry standards. Accurately report and record test results, promptly escalating any out-of-specification findings. Maintain a working knowledge of test methods and material specifications outlined in the Quality Control Manual. Prepare and package samples for shipment to outside labs or clients. Calibrate and perform routine maintenance on lab equipment, maintaining proper documentation. Ensure laboratory cleanliness and order through regular housekeeping tasks. Assist in keeping product quality within target values to support cost-effective production. Prepare technical reports for internal management or regulatory agencies. Follow all safety protocols and proactively address unsafe behaviors or conditions. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Ability to obtain and maintain applicable certifications and licenses. Preferred Qualifications: Associate’s degree or coursework in construction, biology, chemistry, or a related field. Prior experience in a laboratory or quality control environment. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to work independently with limited supervision. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and lab-specific software. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Work Environment & Physical Requirements: May be exposed to hot or cold environments and loud noise. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
